Iran wins 3rd Junior World Sitting Volleyball Championships
According to information posted on the Tehran Times' web site, Iran's sitting volleyball team won the 2009 Junior World Sitting Volleyball Championships, which were held between November 3 and 8, 2009, in the Eastern Iranian city of Mashhad. In the final game in Mashhad's Shahid Beheshti Gym Iran beat Russia 3-0 and won the Junior World Championship for the third consecutive time. After defeating the Sitting Volleyball team of Kasakhstan 3-1, Germany came in third. Other participating teams were Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Iraq and Croatia.
